My name is Kirsten and I am 24. I live in Virginia Beach with my parents, sisters, 2 dogs, and my cat. Its a zoo. Hahaha. I miss living in Richmond on my own, but life is easier now than it was then. I have lost  A LOT of my friends, and it hurts terribly but the ones who truly love me for me are the ones who are still around. And they are the only ones that matter.

I am now openly gay, after almost 8 years of hiding and denying. Ha. I have the most amazing girlfriend, and her name is Hana. My family is having a hard time accepting it, but they love me and we are working through it. I finally feel at ease with my own life, and it is a great feeling.

I am working on a better me. I went through a lot and almost lost the most important thing to me in the last 2 months. I have done a lot of lying, a lot of cheating, and I lost myself. But now I am back and making everything a whole lot better.

Turned 24 today (11.12.11) and it is the start of a new and better year. Here’s to change! Cheers!
